The guarantor shall commit himself/herself to abide by the membership agreement of Avis and be willing to act as guarantor for the applicant. In case the applicant cannot compensate for the direct and indirect economic losses from the use of the Avis membership card, the guarantor shall undertake all the responsibilities due.

The Membership Card remains in effect for one year and needs to be extended by the card holder 15 days prior to the ending of the period. Exceeding the time limit will be considered a termination of the membership, which will become invalid immediately. However, the car holder and guarantor shall continue to undertake all the legal obligations relating to the using of the overdue card.
